SANTONINUM

Santoninum (Santonin) is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the active principle of Santonica—the unexpanded flower heads of Artemisia Maritima (also known as Cina). Traditionally valued for its anthelmintic (anti-worm) properties, Santoninum is especially useful in treating worm infestations and related gastrointestinal, urinary, and neurological symptoms- partial paralysis of left side, restlessness and flushed face. It is also known for its action on the eyes and the urinary tract, with great prostration making it a versatile medicine in pediatric and chronic cases.

• Worm Infestations
o Useful in treating roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides) and threadworm infections.
o Relieves symptoms such as severe dull abdominal pain, grinding of teeth, restless sleep, and muscle twitching.

• Gastrointestinal Irritation
o Addresses nausea, fetid breath, deep red tongue, and depraved appetite. Vomiting with severe abdominal pain with yellow slimy mucus.

Avoid strong smells (onion, hing, mint, garlic) during use.
Allow 15 minutes gap between two homoeopathic medicines, 30 mins gap between Homoeopathic medicines and food, or one hour gap between Homoeopathic medicines or another system of medicines.
