Prunus spinosa, prepared from the flowering buds of the Blackthorn or Sloe, belonging from Rosaceae family, has a marked affinity for the urinary organs, head, and neuralgic conditions. It is particularly useful in treating tenesmus, bladder neuralgia, and bursting eye pain. The medicine addresses water retention, especially swelling in the feet and ankles, and supports relief from cramping, pressing, and shooting pains. It is also used in cases of herpes zoster, ascites, and respiratory oppression associated with circulatory strain.

Rectum & Stool

• Treats difficult, knotty, hard, nodular stools and rectal pain, as if a sharp object were being pressed inward.
• Prunus spinosa soothes burning in the anus following slimy, irritant diarrhea.

Urinary Tract Issues

• Addresses tenesmus of the bladder with frequent, ineffectual urges to urinate.
• Relieves neuralgic dysuria with pain and difficulty initiating urination.
• Useful when there is a peculiar sensation of urine reaching the glans but then receding, causing urethral pain.
• Patient must wait or strain a long time before urine is passed.

Respiratory & Cardiac

• Relieves wheezing and chest oppression, especially noticeable while walking.
• Eases anxious, short respiration during episodes of cardiovascular strain.
• Used in angina pectoris with furious heart pounding triggered even by slight motion.

Skin & Extremities

• Useful in herpes zoster with burning, sensitive skin eruptions.
