Physalis alkekengi, commonly known as Alkekengi or Winter Cherry, is a homoeopathic medicine derived from fruit part of Physalis (also known as Solanum vesicarium) sourced from Solanaceae family. Traditionally recognized for its strong diuretic and anti-lithic (stone-dissolving) properties, this medicine is primarily used in urinary disorders, muscular weakness, and various inflammatory conditions. It is especially indicated in cases of gravel, urinary lithiasis, and nocturnal incontinence, with secondary effects on the nervous system, skin, and respiratory tract.
