Prophylaxis and Acute Mumps
• Used prophylactically for individuals exposed to mumps, often administered in frequently.
• In active cases of mumps, it may be given frequently, either alone or alternated with other indicated medicines.
Glandular and Salivary Affections
• Indicated in glandular swellings, particularly of the parotid glands.
• Parotidinum helps in salivation and parotitis, especially with viral or infective origin.
Neurological and Gonadal Complications
• Helpful in meningitis or cerebral inflammation as a complication of mumps.
• Indicated in orchitis (inflammation of the testicles), particularly when arising after or during mumps.
