Bismuthum oxydatum, a homoeopathic medicine prepared from the oxide of bismuth, belongs to the mineral medicines of the metallic group. It acts prominently on the stomach, intestines, nervous system, and circulation, producing marked gastric irritation, vomiting, diarrhoea, and prostration.
