Ascaris lumbricoides, a homoeopathic medicine prepared from the roundworm of the human intestine (Nematoda family), is especially valuable in worm affections of children. It chiefly acts on the intestinal canal, nervous system, and female genital organs, producing symptoms of irritability, itching of the nose and anus, grinding of teeth, restlessness, and colicky pains. It is particularly suited for weak, pale, fretful children with disordered digestion and reflex nervous complaints arising from worms.
