Apis virus, also known as Apisinum, is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the poison of the honeybee. Classified under the Animal Kingdom, this medicine is prepared from the same source as Apis mellifica but in a different form, focusing on its toxicological and septic properties. It has proven valuable in assisting acute inflammatory and infectious conditions, especially those marked by edema, neurological involvement, and hysterical symptoms.

• Neurological Conditions and Meningitis
o Indicated in meningitis in children, especially with symptoms of coma, frothing at the mouth, and neurological depression.
o Apis virus addresses hysteria, fainting tendencies, and sudden syncope, often of a nervous origin.
• Septic States and Infections
o Beneficial in cases of septicemia, where there is systemic toxicity, rigors, and chilling sensations.
o Useful in post-infectious weakness, particularly following scarlatina with glottic edema.
• Edematous and Dropsical Conditions
o Assists internal dropsy and edema, especially in mucosal or respiratory tissues.
o Specifically indicated in edema of the glottis, posing risk of respiratory obstruction.
• Chill and Fever States
o Relieves symptoms of violent rigors, shivering, and shaking chills, often seen in septic or toxic conditions.

- Allow 15 minutes gap between two homoeopathic medicines, 30 mins gap between Homoeopathic medicines and food, or one hour gap between Homoeopathic medicines or another system of medicines.
