SBL’s Ammonium picricum can be helpful in the following conditions:

Occipital Headache and Neuralgia

• Strongly indicated in periodic neuralgia and headache, especially over the right occiput, extending to the ear, orbit, jaw, and temples.
• Headache often begins in the morning, with heaviness, vertigo on rising, and worsens on getting up.
• Pain may spread across the sides of the head to the eyes, followed by nausea and vomiting of sour bilious matter in the afternoon.
• Face appears darkly flushed during attacks.

Post-Traumatic Occipital Disturbance

• Useful in head injury cases, particularly those involving the back of the head or occipital region.
• Symptoms include a “wild feeling” in the occiput, trembling, palpitations, and a sense of alarm or fright, especially after sudden movements, such as turning in bed or stooping.

Spinal Congestion and Pressure Sensations

• Commended for its role in congestion of the brain and spinal cord.
• Indicated in spinal paresis and heaviness or pressure sensations that begin in the occiput and travel down the spine or vice versa.
